Zoey's 2nd birthday

Zoey's birthday was kind of  simply great.  From the moment she woke up - we - my husband, my dog, and I- went in with a comforter filled with balloons, singing to her.  The night prior, I decorated the living room and dining area - she walked around, and noticed each, and every little detail with oohs, and ahhs, and wows, and pretties, and favorites.  It made my heart swell. 

Although we didn't have a big party for her, we made sure she felt special, we spent the day doing some of her favorite things.  I made her a nice pancake breakfast, we covered the dining table with craft paper and painted on it, we went to the beach with her grammy, had dance parties with her nonna, and bestie, Lucas, played in her bounce house inside the house, and had so much fun with balloons.  I cooked her a pan roasted chicken lunch, with mashed potatoes, and had my close family over for homemade ice cream cake and presents.  It was a good day, a happy day, a day full of love and smiles and laughter... I don't necessarily believe in throwing big parties for each and every occasion, I think when it comes to celebrations it's more about the quality than the quantity. I'd say that Zoey had a top quality 2nd Birthday.

I think my camera lens was pretty filthy, so sorry these photos kind of lack in quality...
